The plan for Renaissance Village Indio has undergone some exciting updates recently. The project was originally designed to be a residential community consisting of 167 triplexes, duplexes, and a recreational clubhouse which would offer personalized concierge services. After further studying the concept and speaking with stakeholders and industry experts (including Indio city staff, councilmembers, planning commissioners, legal counsel, community members, various senior living consultants, and medical experts), Continental East Development decided to change the concept to a mixed-use development.
New Plan: Mixed-Use with Residential, Retail, and Wellness
The new development consists of 143 rental residential duplexes and ~19,000 square feet of general retail and medical office, including a health and wellness center. These commercial units would be open to the public as well as residents, and be operated by third party vendors, allowing residents and the surrounding community to have a uniquely tailored assortment of medical and retail services at their doorstep. CED is particularly enthusiastic about including a hydrotherapy component given the proven benefits to the aging population. The surrounding area does not currently offer hydrotherapy as an option for recovery or injury prevention and will serve the community well. This exciting new option will bring substantial positive attention to the entire project.
