Expansion Plans for Antelope Square
As of Quarter 3 of 2021, Continental East Development decided to expand Antelope Square’s existing retail center. The retail center is located off the I-215 freeway at the corner of Scott Rd. and Antelope Rd. in Murrieta, California. The plans include a 4,100 SF drive-thru coffee shop and food tenant building at the southwest corner of the existing Antelope Square retail center.
CED’s decision to expand the property stemmed from the city’s efforts to alleviate previous traffic problems and prepare for the growing population. The city’s freeway expansion includes 2.5 miles of new concrete ramps and transitional freeway lanes, along with a six-lane bridge that is 150 feet longer than the previous one. This exit has a large traffic volume, so the expansion expects to serve the Murrieta and Menifee community well. Menifee currently has a population of over 90,000 residents and is expected to grow to 200,000 by 2050. CED is now awaiting approval of the conceptual plans and is planning to break ground in Spring 2022.
